Our story
GB Engineering is the trading name of Hartman Engineering Ltd, an independent British-owned company founded in 1998 by Bruce Hartley and Greig Mantell. Following years of growth, the business relocated from Erith to its present South London premises in 2008. That same year, Gary Hartley, a longstanding and highly experienced fitter, became a director. Continued investment in our people, facilities and capabilities remains central to meeting our customers’ expectations.

Engineering expertise under one roof.
Our South London premises bring together offices, warehouse facilities and specialist workshops supporting sheet-metal fabrication, woodworking, engraving, polishing and welding. This combination gives us the flexibility to deliver practical, carefully finished solutions tailored to each project.
